                 You can learn a lot about life from reading.  I learned some unusually useful information from a site called The National Center for Biotechnology Information.  Did you know that some organisms such as bacteria only consist of one cell, yet humans consist of an estimated one hundred trillion, or that 4 billion years ago single celled organisms without nuclei, also known as prokaryotic cells, were the only organisms to roam the earth? Furthermore, most people do not classify viruses as living organisms due to their lack of a metabolic system.  I discovered that unicellular organisms reproduce by cell duplication, a process in which a cell splits in two!  It reminded me of how as babies we start out as small life forms (prokaryotic cells), and then we grow into toddlers (unicellular organisms) after that, teens (small multi-cellular organisms) then adults (large multi-cellular organisms).  In the future, I might look in a microscope to see these prokaryotic cells and microorganisms, which live in and around us.  Who knows what will happen?  I cannot wait to find out!
