5. demonstrate how visible light is refracted

B. The student will compare visible light to other types of electromagnetic radiation

1. differentiate between these waves: radio, microwave, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, xray, gamma
2. explain the various types of waves using these terms: wavelength, frequency, energy
3. explain how the various types of waves are used in our daily lives
